DOGS are welcome in the cottage but are prohibited on the beach from 1st. July to 31st. August from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Note: this is not a total ban - dogs are welcome on the beach outside these hours.
THE BEACH is covered at each high tide but, at low tide, there is a huge expanse of sand.
PARKING  - there is free, normal on-road parking 140 metres down the hill in the road named Portmellon Park just past the Rising Sun

The  car park next to the pub is a paying car park - it does not belong to the pub.

 GARAGE/FUEL: Portmellon's nearest petrol station is in St.Austell, opposite MacDonald's, on the roundabout just past B&Q - 8 miles from Portmellon.
